As I began to search for ways to make money online as a newbie, I found out that the easiest way to start was not to create my own product at first, but to begin promoting other company's products which is called affiliate marketing. This is a great way to make money online from home on your own personal computer and on your own time and schedule.

The first step is to choose a product that is easy to market at Clickbank. Some people choose to work online promoting drop-ship products for companies and they love it. Personally, I have found that using what is called the Bum Marketing approach, works very well and resulted in a first page listing of one of my first articles that I wrote using these tips. It is not difficult to do once you understand a few key principles there.

I love Paydotcom marketplace because it makes affiliate marketing so much easier, especially when you are new to the internet and new to making money online from home. You can begin at Paydotcom choosing a product that pays out a high percentage for each sale that you make. Each product that you click on to promote is under the sell products tab. You simply register to become an affiliate and all the directions for promoting each product are provided for you at Paydotcom's site.

These two marketplaces are particularly well though of by affiliate marketers because they have the highest percentage payoff for each of the products that you choose to promote such as 50 to 75 percent commission versus 8 to 10 percent of most other affiliate programs. Beautiful!

The second step is to find a marketplace such as Clickbank, that offers its affiliates tools to promote each product such as an easy way to register for that company and then their software automatically creates a hoplink which is a url link with your name embedded into that link. When you send out an email or put that link on your blog, say at a free blog site such as Blogger, and someone clicks on that link and purchases the product, you will make a percentage of each and every sale. That is exciting and I can't describe to you the excitement I felt when I checked my clickbank account and saw that I had made my first sale.

Thirdly, you must learn all the unique ways to drive traffic to your website or your free blog at places such as Blogger that is offered as a free website. You can begin with free adverstising such as free classifieds or you can use article marketing such as this one which is free. All it costs you is your time and energy. You can outsource the writing once you begin to learn how to make money online and from home.

The wonderful advantage of article marketing online and as a way to make money online from home is that once you write your article and it goes viral and spreads around the internet, you can reap rewards financially from that one article for many months. If it is a well-written article many article directories will pick up your article and republish it and your efforts will be magnified many times over.

When you have traffic coming from article marketing or email promotions where you included your affiliate link, you will find that making money online from home is not so hard after all. The secret is to be consistent in submitting a slow, steady stream of articles to the article directories all pointing back to your website or free blog.
