Are you sick and tired of sitting at home and not doing anything? Well I am. It bores me. However, I have discovered a hobby that is very interesting. I am sure you have heard about stamp collecting but I expect you to shrug me off because you think that you are better off sitting at home and not doing anything rather than stamp collecting.

You may doubt me now but trust me once you take a closer look, you may be surprised at how enticing it is. For the sake of the amateurs out there, let me tell you how to collect stamps. Trust me, stamp collecting is very easy. With this article as a guide, you'll be having tonnes of albums in no time.

The first step is to get the stamps. So, how do you get the stamps? Well, simple. You can purchase a large packet of stamps. You can get these stamps at bookstores or if you prefer, you can get it from a ship where they sell all the collector's stamps. However, it may be costly. If you do not intend to splurge money on your new found hobby, you may remove stamps from packages. This will give you a head start in your stamp collection.

In order to store the stamp properly, you need to purchase an album. By purchasing an album, you can keep your stamps in a safe place. One thing you should note when buying a stamp album it that you need to ensure that the album is large enough to store you stamps in future. Let's face it, your stamp collection is just going to get bigger.

However, there is one other thing you should note too when getting an album. You have to ensure that the album has hinges. The hinges will help you fix the stamps to the album. It is not advisable for you to paste you stamps with glue. Why? It is because, by gluing you stamps to the album, it makes the stamps have permanent positions and thus, you will not be able to classify your stamps in future.

Apart from the tools, you also need to get the stamps. Where? You may get a large packet of stamp from the bookstores, Alternatively, you may also remove used stamps from postages. This will allow you to safe money but it may also be time consuming. You have to be careful when removing the stamps as they may tear when you try removing them.

Natural disasters and accidents are inevitable. What happens if there is a flood? Yes. all you albums and years of collecting stamp are gone to waste. I suggest that you get a few or maybe a bundle of polythene packet. You can keep your album in this packets so that it would not get wet. It will be terrible to see your stamp collection for past years gone to waste.
