Most people spend their youth wishing they were older forgetting that with age comes aging! When they do finally become older they wish we were once again young or at least, younger looking.

Of course, there's no miracle product that'll make a senior look like a teen. However, you can do things that will help, as part of a good anti-aging skin care program. While these tips won't make anyone look like a kid again, they will experience improved texture and tone, and healthier skin. Healthier skin will be less prone to blemishes and wrinkles, too.

The most important part of any anti-aging skin care regime is cleaning your face. During the day, your face is exposed to pollutants, dirt, dust and other common irritants. Ladies you should never go to bed without washing the days make up off. Keeping your pores clean is essential to your anti-aging skin care regime.

When our skin is weighed down with debris and our pores are clogged, our bodies are at a disadvantage. Cleansing frees us of this, but it's important to do it right. Avoid harsh products like regular soap or strong cleanser when embarking on an anti-aging skin care regimen.

Hand soap, shampoo, body washes and similar products tend to be hard on the skin. That means they have a drying effect, and can cause flaking. Dryness can contribute to greater wrinkling and the appearance of blemishes. Using cleansers that are right for your face, rather than harsh soaps, is one step to prevent this.

The weather plays an important role in our skins aging process, every time you step outside either in the sun or wind, natural moisture in your skin is affected by the elements and the skin is stripped of some of the moisture. A good gentle face moisturizer is as important as a good facial cleanser.

Stress too pulls moisture from the skin, and who isn't under a tremendous amount of stress today? A good moisturizer under makeup during the day is important for your anti-aging skin care regimen, as is a nighttime cream as well. The day cream will protect your skin from sun, wind, and pollutants, and the nighttime cream will help your body heal and repair.

A healthy overall body is another key to a good ant-aging skin care routine. A healthy body has healthy skin, so drink plenty of water and get routine exercise. You should also make sure you get enough sleep and maintain a good diet. You'll see the results in you feel and in your appearance.

Neglecting any of these things will reveal itself in your skin's condition. And really, what good is any anti-aging skincare product or routine if you're not rested or don't hydrate yourself by drinking enough water? There are very few products on the market that can make up for neglecting your health or for not getting enough rest.

The best anti-aging skin care regime starts with staying well hydrated and getting enough rest. Wrinkle creams and lotions are only a supplement they are not a miracle cure for the aging process but they can produce amazing results if you do your part as well.
