How is distilled water produced? Before we get to that, let me tell you that distilled water does not contain chlorine. Why? This is because; chlorine is left behind when the water is being boiled and left to steam.
So how is distilled water produced? The most common way to make distilled water is by distillation. The process is very simple and it involves boiling, steaming, evaporation and cooling. Yes, it is that simple. When the process is done, all impurities in the water are left behind.
The reason behind this method is that steam is very much lighter and less dense. Thus, this tells us that steam cannot carry the impurities within itself, leaving behind the impurities. As soon as the process is done, the distilled water is safe to be drunk, clear and safe from all impurities such as chemicals, toxins and other wastes, including metal.
The next thing on the agenda is why distillation and not other methods. Distillation has been adopted all over the worlds. Why? This is because; it is much more economical than other purification method. It is energy saving as well.
You may have heard of purifying water using chlorine but if you drink water with chlorine regularly, it may lead to a number of health problems.
