Basa fish is a member of the catfish family, farm-raised in fresh water. The flavor of the basa is milder and more delicate than other catfish. When you cook or grill it you also do not get that fishy smell all around your home.

Basa fish is originally from the Mekong River Delta in Vietnam and Chao Phraya basin. The basa fish is an important food resource in its origin area, but has the later years gotten a lot of interest from the American and European market as well.

Basa fish is grilled much like salmon. You can brush it with butter and add some spices to increase the taste experience. White pepper and garlic is good. Lemon is also a tasty ingredient to add to the basa fish. You can also use lime.

When you feel that you have spiced up the basa fish the way you want you need to pack the fish in aluminum foil. This is a very simple process. Take a sheet of aluminum foil for each slice of basa fish. Then simply wrap the foil to cover the basa fish completely.

When you put the aluminum wrapped basa fish filets on the grill you should grill them for at least 10 minutes on each side. The cooking time is between 10 and 15 minutes. It is important not to overcook them. It is not recommended to turn the fish around all the time. Grill them for 10 minutes on one side and then turn them around for an additional 10 minutes.

You now have a short guide for on how to grill basa fish. All you have to do now is get to the store and buy you some to get started.
