Who would have thought that entering a baby photo contest could lead to a lucrative career in television, magazines or other modeling careers? But it is true. Getting this kind of early exposure is a perfect way to get your foot (actually your child's foot!) in the door, a door that leads to bigger and better, more exciting opportunities. Where to start? Contests where you have to pay a fee usually have better prizes, but if it is a career you are after, exposure is the better prize, any day of the week.

Online photo contests are by far the most accessible and easiest to enter. It is just a matter of searching in Google for online baby photo contests (remember to look for the free photo contests first, to get started), then register, upload your photo or photos and you are off to the races. If you choose a contest where a fee is required, doing it online makes this a snap, too.

When your baby picture becomes a photo contest winner, and there should be no doubt about this happening, then let the exposure begin! A lot of contests run the photo contest winners on their website, and in brochures to promote future contests. This is the beginning of possibly worldwide exposure for your future star.

As a side note to entering baby photo contests where they charge a fee. A benefit to entering these contests is that their prizes are usually cash prizes. Enter enough of these and your baby's college is paid for early, just in case there are any career changes - or challenges - midstream in life.

And, naturally, what better way to show off the fact that your's is the cutest baby on the big blue marble than to enter these contests, and win? That would prove to all those nay-sayers saying their babies are the cutest, who is right. A little pride in one's child never hurt anyone, least of all the child. Your baby will know that you knew and cared enough to share his or her beauty with the world by entering all these contests. Bonding never was any better than that.

A baby photo contest has many advantages, whether you are after the career exposure or the prize. But remember that it is entertainment, and you and your baby should have fun when participating, to help you both create life-long memories of the joys and happiness that entering baby photo contests can bring.
